Description

Caryo is the village closest to the ZelaHira farm. You can walk to it from here in a few minutes. It is also a good starting point to get from heren after only a short distancen to Fabavut in the far north, to the lovely village of Astera or to the botanical garden.

The people of Caryo are butterfly shepherds. They breed and care for butterflies. For this they need special plants, such as the Dianthus plumarius or the Silene dioica.

Unfortunately, the Caryoans are still missing some important butterfly species, namely the pigeon tail (Macroglossum stellatarum), the oleander hawk (Daphnis nerii) and the red apollo (Parnassius apollo).

  Overview

Description

Fabavut is a settlement in the middle of the snowy tundra. The village is relatively easy to reach from Fabavut by boat. Just be careful not to run into an octopus in the cold sea. Many ships have sunk in the icy depths.

It is noticeable right at the beginning that it has different architectural styles. On the one hand there are the typical Nordic houses and on the other hand there are snow and ice igloos.

In addition, the village has three large communal houses, and not just one, as usual.

The settlers have very special skills. You can regenerate dead and salty soil with the help of the Fabaceae family of plants. You are also particularly committed to combating climate change.

What seems like an icy desert to you is actually a rich land that is rich enough for entire settlements to live on.

Description

Astera village is not far from the spawn point in the large botanical garden and the village can be reached on foot or by water in a few minutes. You can hear the humming of the bees from afar and perceive the sweet smell of the flowers.

The residents of Astera are versatile. Not only do they know all about the Asteraceae, but in general they are very knowledgeable about medicinal plants.

One of its most prominent residents is Hildegard von Bingen, a great healer and wise woman of the German Middle Ages. You can find her in the hospice, a kind of hospital.

Description

The Great Botanical Garden is located just 800 feet from the steps of the Capitol in Washington, United States. With a lot of love and effort, creeper2357 also built the triangular Bartholdi Park, which is across the street and is under the supervision of the USBG (United States Botanic Garden). The buildings, paths, trees and even plants you see are all as accurate as they could be in Minecraft. The USBG is organized and managed as a museum and is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums (AAM).

Description

Amaryl is situated in the middle of the jungle, not far from Rubia and it can also be reached on foot from Scroful. A beautifully designed path leads through the jungle directly to the village. You pass a beautiful flower dome, which is entirely dedicated to the Arabs.

One of their most prominent villagers is Berta Cáceres, a heroine of the nation who stands up for all inhabitants of the jungle, not just the villagers. Nobody knows how to do a "Compostura lenca" like them. You can still learn something there.

The Amarylans are very skilled chemists, but also imaginative poets. What do poetry and chemistry have to do with one another? Discover everything about the poetry of chemistry.

The Chinese believe that daffodils bring good luck. Therefore, they often make them a gift on New Year celebrations. For this purpose, the bulb of the daffodil is cut in order to get 10 daffodils from one flower. Can you do something like that too?

Description

Located in the middle of the desert, Boragi is best reached from Astera or Rosa. It is a little way away, but doable.

The city is chronically overpopulated and constantly under construction.

It is not easy to live in Boragi. All important goods are hard to come by. There is a nearby town just a few minutes walk, Boraku. The best way to get there is to follow the strange desert trees. Going there is a dangerous undertaking, however, as it is a ghost town full of zombie villagers.

Nevertheless, there are also beautiful moments in Boragi. The residents are great musicians and even make music with plants. The nicest thing about Boragi is actually the beach promenade, where there is regular partying and music in the evenings.

Description

Apia Dorf also likes to call itself Apia town, but basically it is nothing more than a small settlement of chic single-family houses in the typical villager style. The river Erohe winds around it romantically between gentle hills, a small forest and a small but striking mountain range.

The people of Apia are the rulers of the Apiaceae. They are friendly, if always very busy, people. They have a great deal of practical knowledge in botany, which they also need to distinguish the various species of this extremely useful family of plants, rich in edible plants and medicinal herbs, from the highly poisonous ones.

The Apier are also great horticultural engineers. Find out more about them and why they are even listed in the UNESCO World Heritage.

It is also worth going past the church. You don't have to be particularly religious. But there you get a quiz, the solution of which is rich in booty.

In the heart of the village is the flowering diagram. You can only get inside yourself if you really know about the Apiaceae.

Boraku is one of the oldest cities in the world and was once extremely famous. Now it's a downright ghost town and only ruins are left of it. The once fertile land around them has now been completely devastated.

1. Villager quests

Through the quests you will learn more about the history of plants and the people who deal with them.

These tasks are the most difficult and can sometimes only be solved at the end. In this world, the villages are named after plant families. Can you associate each village name with the corresponding family?

Use: The villagers help you to move forward on the map, show where certain things can be found or open blocked areas.

2. Floral diagrammes

These are quiz mazes. You will usually find the entrance in a special house. You have to answer questions to get inside the flower and get an overview of the entire flower.

Use: Collect them all to win the MineFriggs Botanist

3. Minecraft Challenges

These are typical tasks that belong to MC Vanilla: parkours, killing zombi, collecting or mining resources.

Find information about geocaching. You can also find many of the elements of this MC world in the real world.

To complete some of the tasks here, you will first need to solve a puzzle in geocaching.

The challenge

Welcome to a unique project contest that focuses on interior details, brought to you by DoraPan and the MineFriggs! This contest will test your decoration skills, attention to detail and ability to translate real live environments into MC worlds.

Special attention is given to the garden. It is much smaller than the Schloss Muskau Park. But it should keep the same spirit in garden design as developped by Fürst von Pückler. Challenge yourself and push the way you use commen blocks! At the end of the contest, the winning design will be uploaded to our Botany World, becoming the new home of our special villager Hermann von Pückler-Muskau and include further hints and challenges for our Botany Game.

How to participate?

To participate in this interior design contest, you need to download the Schloss Muskau Build here.

Feel free to join our Botany Server (IP: botany.aternos.me) in 1.16.1 and go to Apia Town where you will see the red castle Schloss Muskau from a distance, between the town and the floral diagramm.

Building Tips

1. Treat it as your own castle. Be creative, and decorate with variety!
2. Try using entities or decoration blocks to your advantage. Look up tutorials online for furniture and vegetation!
3. Your interior doesn't have to be super realistic. Be creative with your decorations!
4. Look up real-life interiors. Find inspiration at Pinterest here.
5. Look up real-life landscape designs and remember that, even though it is a German park, the design is an English landscape garden. Find inspiration at the Muskauer Park https://www.muskauer-park.de/besuch/ and in Pinterest https://www.pinterest.es/candygwa/english-garden-ideas/
6. You are allowed to use Custom Player Heads.

Rules

1. Do not edit the exterior of the castle including windows or doorways. This rule also applies to the towers.
2. Do not edit the water in front of the house cannot be edited.
3. Do not edit below or above the template level. Do not extend the build area.
4. All internal walls, floors and stairwais can be edited. Fireplaces can be added. Internal stairs can be edited/added. This rule also applies to the towers.
5. Gardens must be landscaped. Existing trees/hedges can be edited, or removed. Small structures such as patios, gazebos or a barbecue can be constructed in the garden. Structures can not be large, or treated as "extensions" to the house exterior.

Contestants will be judged on a scale of 0-20 based on three main points:


Reference: As the most importante point, we will evaluate how well you interprete and integrate different elements of Fürst von Pückler's design theory, which can be found in his book Andeutungen über Landschaftgärtnerei or the original UNESCO page.
This category is about how accurately your build matches the description and design elements.

"Muskauer Park/Park Mużakowski – an outstanding example of a European park, a crafted ideal landscape, and a new approach to designing greenery in urbanized spaces – was included in the world heritage list according to the convention concerning the protection of the world cultural and natural heritage on July 2, 2004. Its inclusion in the list is a confirmation of outstanding interest of a cultural or natural site which needs to be preserved as a part of the world heritage of mankind as a whole". (UNESCO)

Artistic: How visually pleasing is the result, is there terrain, vegetation etc. What features does it have that make it look great. This category is the most also importante and will be a majority of what the judges focus will be on.

Originality: How unique is the build compared to others? This category is very important as the judges will be more drawn to unique builds, especially in a template based build, simple yet difficult as the a German Castle with Park. Note that the farther you stray from what the forts are, the more likely you are to get a bad score. Be unique, but be careful not to stray from the source material.



Additional Notes On Judging:
1. Each main point is a focus, not a scoring category, as there are no scoring categories for this build off, only one score per judge.

2. As a brief note about the template, none of the exterior of the castle may be changed. The garden might be modified at descrition, except the water in front of the castle..

Description

The city of Colchica is known worldwide for its great medical knowledge. They are also a research center for DNA and especially phylogenetics. This made the city very rich. Although it is on the edge of a large desert, life here is very pleasant.

Located between the city of Rosa and the Rose Museum, Colchica is very easy to reach, both from these two points, or from the Herzl dome, Aspar or Hector's tower.

Description

Halfway between Boragi and Colchica lies Rosa, a city that combines the advantages of three biomes; Desert, plains and jungle. You can smell the city from afar. Perfumes and dyes are diligently produced here. But also a large selection of teas are a specialty of this place. You can find them in the city's elegant teahouses.

The most famous Rosaner is probably David Austin, but you will rarely find him in his house. Mostly he works on a new rose cultivation in the nearby rose museum.
